Tailored process optimisation

How much of your team's time is wasted due to inefficiencies?

The question above is not an easy one to answer right away but chances are your team could be better investing a fair amount of their time on activities of greater value – those that will help you and your team delivering on your company’s/site’s mission and vision.

While technology and systems have evolved quite a lot over the past decades and have helped streamlining a number of clinical operations-related activities, there are usually several key points overlooked by Clinical Trials Management Systems which, when put together, have a huge impact on your deliverables and costs. Underpinning that we have the most important – and still highly overlooked – point when it comes down to operational excellence: the human factor.

With ever increasing workload and the need for working smarter, it may be difficult for those who are embedded into the daily routine to have the time and ability to critically assess gaps and inefficiencies and to propose and implement solutions. That’s what we are here for.

With proven track record in optimising different aspects related to quality management systems, tools, forms, ways of working, among others, we can help you understanding where your team’s focus and energy is leaking, how to fix it and how to measure the impact of such improvements.

TAILORED PROCESS OPTIMISATION OVERVIEW

This is the staring point by which we will be able to fully access the process improvement opportunities within your team/structure. This step involves in-depth interviews with your staff, understanding processes/procedures and stakeholders involved, time spend by each stakeholder on key activities and costs associated to it.

You will be provided with a comprehensive report stating the outcome of the initial assessment detailing eventual gaps and opportunities related to all aspects assessed (including, but not limited to: SOPs, forms, tools, systems, resources, training needs, among others).

As the success of any action plan is highly dependant on shared vision between those involved in the management and execution of activities, this step will provide us with the opportunity to present you and your team a draft plan, highlighting details of all the opportunities envisioned to optimise your processes and gain productivity, always with a strong focus on the “human factor” considering your work environment and ways of working.

Once we have received feedback and thoughts from you and your team we will be able to validate the action plan, making sure it is fit-for-purpose considering your company’s reality. Any action plan will contain Key Performance Indicators and targets, so that you are able to compare baseline with final outcome in terms of gained efficiencies and cost reduction.

We will manage/oversee all actions related to the validated plan, which might include the creation of tools, forms, review of SOPs, specific training, etc and will keep in constant touch to update you on how things are progressing, while getting your team to take part along the way, so that they become change ambassadors.

Let's advance science together.
